Lets face it, there are a lot of places to get market news and do your research at. I’ll lay out a few of the sites that I monitor and use as I follow the market news and research.
CNBC - CNBC is one of my favorite sites to keep up for some quick news updates. I’ll generally scroll in the morning and give some articles that interest me a review. I also use the mobile app and keep my portfolio and watchlist updated for a scroll on the commute (non-driving) to work. I also like the details I can see searching tickers.
Yahoo Finance - One I’m starting to use more is Yahoo. I like doing my stock research on the platform. As you can see below it offers several tabs to review the metrics of the stocks I’m looking at. You can also use the screeners to provide you options with what you’re looking for. A quick search for large caps with over 25 years of dividend increases and a forward yield of over 2% provides me with 14 stocks to review.
Marketwatch - I used this a lot more in my earlier days, but have used it much less. I do still head to the page once in a while to review news and check for articles of interest. I don’t use the site much for stock research, but it does have that option. Mostly, it brings back good memories of my high school days in the 2000’s during study hall.
